2003

‘Humble Beginnings’
Our parent company, Velocity Servers Inc., was founded in 2003 as an Internet services and web hosting company. Over the next few years we'd make great strides towards becoming the organization that we are today.

2006

‘Shifting Gears’
In 2006 we took the leap from primarily hosting websites and computer gaming servers to providing enterprise level colocation and dedicated server hosting at our nation-wide datacenters.

2009

'Chicago Expansion'
In March 2009 ColoCrossing expanded its footprint, opening for business at the newly constructed Dupont Fabros Chicago facility, marking the completion of its first large scale datacenter build-out and enabling strong growth for years to come.

2012

'Giving back to a community that gives us so much'
In 2012 we donated over 100 new computers, worth $80,000 to two local elementary schools. We're honored to be a part of such a great community in Buffalo that gives us so much that it was a no brainer to give back.

'Growing in Buffalo'
ColoCrossing opens its first Buffalo based datacenter facility in 2012, increasing its nationwide total to nine. By 2015 ColoCrossing would expand its Buffalo presence to three facilities.

2014

'Getting Noticed'
In 2014 ColoCrossing becomes an INC5000 company for being among the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States.

'Moving Downtown'
To support growing business in 2014 ColoCrossing opened its first 24/7 network operations center in Downtown Buffalo, located within the same building as its then two Buffalo datacenter facilities.

'Continued Growth'
ColoCrossing relocated its suburban Buffalo administrative office to a larger, newly constructed company owned building.

2015

'A Third Buffalo Datacenter'
Amid strong growth, in June 2015 ColoCrossing celebrated the opening of its third datacenter in Downtown Buffalo, bringing its total locations to eleven.

2016

'New Headquarters'
To support further growth, in 2016 ColoCrossing moved its headquarters into a much larger, modern, office space in Downtown Buffalo. We're proud to be a part of all the incredible things that are happening as part of the "New Buffalo" renaissance story.

2017

'Growing Quickly'
Thanks to loyal customers and the hard work of the entire ColoCrossing team the company is now an INC5000 award winner three years running, a Deloitte 500 company and a Buffalo Fast 50 recipient.

2018

'Acquired by Deluxe Corporation'
In June 2018, ColoCrossing was acquired by Deluxe Corporation, this acquisition brings new growth and expansion opportunities to our current infrastructure.

2023

'Acquired by HostPapa'
In June 2023, ColoCrossing was acquired by HostPapa, a leading North American hosting operator, super charging new opportunities and growth for ColoCrossing.
