Today we’re thrilled to announce our latest round of network upgrades, this time focused at our Buffalo, NY datacenters. ColoCrossing is committed to providing the fastest speeds, and lowest latency networks to our customers and this recent capacity upgrade is part of that continuing effort. Today, the Buffalo ColoCrossing network enjoys total capacity of 200 Gbit per second or 200,000 Mbit per second which is 10,000 times faster than a standard residential cable internet connection!
ColoCrossing has multiple connections to four different premium transit providers, providing extensive redundancy and the ability to select the fastest path for traffic in real time. Our Buffalo network now consists of 60 Gbit to Telia Sonera (increased from 40 Gbit), 80 Gbit from Hibernia Atlantic (increased from 40 Gbit), 40 Gbit to XO Communications and 20 Gbit to Zayo. Telia Sonera is one of the largest networks in Europe and among the fastest growing Tier-1 networks (highest quality standard) in the United States. Telia’s network allows customers in the ColoCrossing Buffalo datacenter to have very fast speeds especially to Europe and Asia.
ColoCrossing builds its networks for 100% uptime reliability and the highest speeds possible. Our continued investment ensures that our customers receive the enterprise-level experience they expect. The next ColoCrossing datacenter to receive enhancements will be Los Angeles, we’ll be sure to share more details once the upgrades are completed!
